Affordable Traditional and Chinoiserie style Lamps

Lamps are admittedly one of my home decor addictions. I switch out lamps like some people switch out pillows or underwear. I adore choosing lighting for client projects. It’s one of my favorite parts of a project. As overhead lighting becomes something that’s only in builder grade homes anymore, we turn the focus to lamps. When lighting is placed at eye level, the ambiance of the room changes for the better. It creates a cozy, comfortable, yet more elegant feel than an overhead light. It’s not crazy to have 3 different lamps per room. Some lamps are mini size for areas like bookshelves and counter tops. Some are medium size for tables, and some are tall and thin often placed in pairs on buffets and sideboards.

Don’t be afraid to go with something unique and bold with color. Mix lamp shades and give your lamps a different look.
