About Kate
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.
A little about me and how I became a designer… I’ve been passionate about everything art related ever since I can remember. I've always been crafty, consistently channeling my creative energy into mostly home-related projects.
I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Art Education and spent a few years teaching elementary art before embracing motherhood. My children became my priority, and during my time at home with them, my passion for interior design truly flourished.
After years of personal experience with my own homes, learning from mistakes, mastering DIY techniques, and decorating on a budget, I leveraged my art degree and skills, along with a course from QC Design School in Interior Decorating, to assist others in enhancing their homes.
I guide my clients in creating spaces that are cozy, traditional, unique, and reflective of their individuality. I'm a proponent of gradually cultivating a style that resonates with one's character. I incorporate classic design elements and materials to devise fresh and practical layouts. I delight in blending the old with the new, infusing spaces with color, whimsical items, and art to infuse genuine character.
