Advent Calendars 2022

I don’t know about you, but for me one of the best things about Christmas is the anticipation. I’ve always loved seeing my kids be excited by the magic of the season. It’s a stressful time of year for sure, but magical is how I describe it too.

I’m not into the Elf on the Shelf. As a parent that had little ones when it first came out, I can tell you I have deep regret about jumping on that bandwagon. There are so many other ways to celebrate the season without having the torture of having to remember to move the elf every night and not only that do it in a fun, exciting and creative way. Yep, torture. I couldn’t wait to get rid of that thing! That said, advent calendars are such a fun way to get into the spirit of the season with no effort. My kind of gift. Even though my kids are teens, I still do advent calendars for them. My son still loves the Star Wars Lego (he knows he’s getting this every year). Last year, I got my daughter the Arteza calendar and she really enjoyed that.
